Starting your own freight company can be close to impossible, especially if you don’t have any other businesses to rely on. The market is still young and the demand is high, but forming a network of carriers and shippers is possible if you have enough founds. For those who can’t afford starting a multi-million dollar business, there is the possibility of being a freight broker. This is not an easy task, but some people have managed to do it.

Besides this, the transactions which worked had to be planed from top to bottom and each person had to be happy with the final result. This is not an easy task and after a few months he decided to turn into other domains. After a few bad work places, he had the idea of focusing on only one group. The started contacting shippers and he soon made a list of persons that need weekly carriers. At first, he couldn’t provide anything, but soon enough, he was able to satisfy a good part of his customers. After a few months, he managed to have a carriers list as well. Now, when people needed to ship something, Joseph could easily find a carrier.
Another advantage of being a freight broker is that you can make a reasonable amount of money. It depends on how good a freight broker you are. Joseph soon saw more potential in this business and started rising money for his own truck. In a few months, he bought a truck and started to conduct the business himself. This is a lot harder, of course, but because he didn’t have to pay his carriers anymore, he could make a much higher profit. It was already two years since he first heard about freight brokers when he bought a second truck and hired another driver. Obviously, the business blossomed and profits started to rise exponentially. He found a route that wasn’t covered by any large freight company and took advantage of it. Now, with only 5 trucks, he only has to conduct the business as an owner, already having a stabile row of shippers and his own trucks and a new freight broker to take his place. The profits are great, his employees and customers are happy and he proved that everything is possible if you have determination and if you know what you’re doing. With a simple market analysis he saw potential in low circulated routes and earned the trust of his clients. Being a freight broker is not the easiest job in the world, but it has its benefits and a large potential of development.
